● Temperature to be used Data shown in the catalog on load, etc are based on measurements made at room temperature (40 ℃ or less), and depending on various conditions, the use at temperatures above room temperature may lead to a reduc- tion in load and the number of cycles for durability. The products are to be used in temperatures of 80 ℃ or less. The heat resistance temperature (round wire: 120 ℃ , irregular wire: 200 ℃ ) for springs is higher that the temperatures for use, but a great reduction in functionality is expected at temperatures above the temperatures for use. For the maximum allowable deflec- tion of a heatproof spring at high temperature, see the table on the page at right.

● Allowable deflection Do not use with a greater deflection than the maximum values, the load and durability will be reduced, and may result in breakage. E If round wire coil springs have even a single stroke larger than the maximum deflec- tion, the L dimension is reduced. ● Calculation of spring load Load = spring constant × deflection N = N/mm × Fmm (International Unit) kgf = kgf/mm × Fmm (kgf = N × 0.101972) ● Shot Peening Since the coil spring has undergone shot peening, shot balls may adhere and remain.

● Irregular Wire Coil Springs Painting MISUMI irregular wire coil springs are painted for identification and to prevent corrosion. Possible to peel the paint by alteration (excluding round wire). ( D P.1147 ) ● Operation frequency Operation frequency is based on our testing and is not a guaranteed value.
