Because the clearance between the ejector sleeve and center pin is kept to 0.01mm and below, this is used in cases where the plastic is conducive to the development of burrs, and for precision molds.

Because the clearance between the ejector sleeve and the center pin is large, this is used in applications where smooth sliding is required. (*The hole diameter of the ejector sleeve can also be made 0.01mm larger.)

Combination of the ejector sleeves and shaft diameter tolerance 0 –0.005 center pins is unsuitable, because fitting sections (S) of the ejector sleeve are longer and the contact area with the center pin is large. Please note that if the hole diameter and shaft diameter are specified with the same dimensions, problems such as the pin not entering the hole, the pin stopping in the middle of the hole, and sliding not being smooth may occur.

The minimum fitting clearance required between the ejector sleeve and center pin (0.01mm) can be achieved. This is widely used in general ap- plications, except for the resins that easily develop burrs.

For this reason, the minimum clearances indicated below are necessary.

select the stepped center pin and specify the shaft diameter or tip diameter 0.01mm smaller than the hole diameter (V), this results in "(B) Combination to minimize the maximum clearance value". • In addition, SKD61 + Nitriding product group also includes an ejector sleeve and center pin set that holds clearance to under 0.03mm.

•The ejector sleeves have been designed to be used in combination with the center pins. Smooth sliding will not be possible if the fit section of the hole diameter (V) is too long for the center pin. This is why the length of the hole diameter (V) has been designed to be (S), while the remainder of the length (L–S) is recessed as the recessed hole (C).

Recessed hole (C) precision standards and test methods

• Precision standard: When the center pin shaft diameter (D or P) = the sleeve hole diameter (V), the appropriate corresponding straight center pin (shaft diameter tolerance –0.01 –0.02 ) should pass through the sleeve. • Test method: Inserting a pass–through test pin. E Please note that when a shaft diameter tolerance 0 –0.005 center pin is inserted, there may be instances in which the pin will not pass through the recessed hole (C), even though it passes through the hole diameter (V).

• Precision standard: When the center pin shaft diameter (D or P) = the sleeve hole diameter (V), the appropriate corresponding straight center pin (shaft diameter tolerance 0 –0.005 ) should pass through the sleeve. • Test method: Inserting a pass-through test pin.

Test using a pass–through test pin

• The H7 hole diameter (V)

C ≧ D + 1.0

CW ≧ D + 1.0

is –0.01 –0.02 used in combination with shaft diameter tolerance center pin. Because a shaft diameter tolerance –0.01 –0.02 center pin must pass through, the sleeve is tested by inserting a (V) –0.006 –0.007 pass- through test pin from the head side of the sleeve. E Note that troubles may arise in which shaft-diameter tolerance 0 –0.005 center pins do not fit the holes, the pins stop partially into the holes and sliding is not smooth due to the length of the sleeves section (S) of the ejector sleeves.

• The precision standard of the recessed hole (C) is tested by inserting the appropriate standard pass-through test pin during pass-through and fit testing. The sole test standard here is whether the appropriate corresponding straight center pin passes through the sleeve hole diameter (V). For this reason, C ≧ (D + 1.0) is necessary in order to be able to insert a stepped center pin's shaft diameter (D) into the recessed hole (C) without problem. Please take note of this. The 2-stage recessed hole (when using CW codes) is CW ≧ (D + 1.0).
