■ Features • A round material with a porous structure made by sintering stainless steel (SUS430 equivalent). • Since gas is released from the entire surface of the molded product, it is highly effective in improving appearance defects (welds, bubbles, short shots, etc.) due to poor gas release and transferability. • Mechanical machining and laser machining can be performed as necessary for the shape of the molded product. Be sure to clean and open the holes after processing. • Since the blank type (PVAB/PVABC) has a straight shape, it can be freely processed and used according to a wide range of applications. • The type with a release hole (PVBB/PVBBC) can be installed without the need for alterations because it has dimensional accuracy and gas release hole processing.
Example
< Press–fit type > • Make a pocket hole (recommended precision H7 : reference value), secure a gas release path ahead of it, and press fit (Fig. 1 ). • When processing the shape of a blank type, if necessary, consider cutting the head as shown in Fig. 2 to prevent rotation. • When removing the press–fitted Porous Vent round type, push it out from the hole side of the gas release path with a round bar as shown in Fig. 3 . • Please note that if the outer diameter is scratched during installation or removal, the press–fitting may become loose during re–installation and the product may fall. < C ring type > • Use spacers and insert by Cavity Insert method (Fig. 4 ). • When processing the shape into a blank type, if necessary, consider fixing it with a spacer and dowel pin as shown in Fig. 5 to prevent rotation. • If you want to save space, alternatively consider using a round S–shaped stopper ring (MISUMI model number: ISTW) instead (only compatible with D10 and above).

■ For use • When press–fit mounting, be sure to insert a hard plastic plate, etc. as shown in the figure on the right, and drive in the Porous Vent round type with a wooden hammer, etc. • The parallelism of both end faces is 0 .01 or less. Please refer to it when designing (reference surface is C side) • Since the blank type molded product side (opposite the C side) is non–ventilated, it is necessary to open holes by wire cutting, electric discharge, cutting, etc. • For the blank type, make a release hole from the back side to ensure ventilation. • Periodically remove it from the mold and use an ultrasonic cleaner to remove the resin. → “Porous Vent Block Type Overview” d P.435 • After processing the shape, remove the oil. → “Porous Vent Block Type Overview” d P.435
