■ Features • The vacuum unit ( AVBN ) evacuates the inside of the cavity by air blowing (compressed air) to prevent molding defects such as gas burning and sink marks on the molded product. ■ Notes • Set the air pressure to 0.3–0.5MPa. • When passing the ejector pin, make sure that the diameter of the ejector pin is d–2mm or less. • Chamfer the plate to prevent damage to the O–ring when inserting the vacuum unit. (It can be inserted smoothly by using the O–ring dedicated grease.) • Use a tube with an outer diameter of φ 6 and an inner diameter of φ 4 or more. • It can be used as a gas countermeasure, but the effect varies depending on the molding conditions, so sometimes it may not be possible to solve the problem. • Dimensions not listed in the catalog may be changed to improve performance.

288 6.5 – 8 E For the hole diameter, select 0.02–0.05 for a resin with relatively good fluidity, and 0.1 or 0.2 for a resin with poor fluidity.

■ Features This product has an extremely fine penetration hole vent embedded in a stainless steel bushing. Gas as well as air is released from the 0.02–0.2mm hole, reducing the resistance of resin injection and allowing good products to be taken out early, which is effective in improving molding productivity. ■ How to mount 1. Make the hole for embedding the TS vent 0.01–0.03mm smaller than the measured outer diameter, and press–fit it. 2. When press–fitting, avoid hitting the vent hole surface directly and use a copper plate to embed it. ■ When using 1. Use a file, whetstone, paper, etc. to process the TS vent surface. In this case, the holes will be clogged so use shot air to remove the metal powder. When it cannot remove the metal powder completely, apply the discharge electrode for about 30–50 seconds (0.02mm–0.03mm) to restore it. 2. Diagonal processing on the TS vent surface makes the opening of the hole long and makes it easy to clog, so use it in a place where the shape surface is close to flat. 3. Please be careful about the mounting position because the shape of the hole may appear in the molded product depending on the hole diameter and resin. 4. Be sure to provide an air relief under the TS vent. 5. If tar or resin residue gets stuck in the vent hole, the gas may not be released sufficiently. Perform regular maintenance by applying shot air to the

vent surface or applying a solvent to the vent surface and then applying shot air 1–2 hours later to prevent clogging. 6. The cleaning solvent differs depending on the resin, so please contact the manufacturer of the resin that you are using. E Standardized for plastic injection molds. Note that it is not applicable to compression mold, die cast mold, and casting dies. E Please note that the vent section may break under high injection pressure. Note that it is not applicable to high injection pressure polycarbonate resin (PC) and composite resin (PC + ABS, etc.).
