■ Overview ● Features • Heat–resistant temperature 340 ℃ • The outside ring can be removed by rotating the dedicated extraction jig ( D P.515 ) or cap bolts by aligning them with the internal screw groove (removal tap). • If the inside arrow is turned clockwise, it will turn non–stop. The shaft can be removed when it is turned counterclockwise. • Less screw grooves allow smooth attachment and removal of the inside arrow. With the reduced number of turns, it is less likely that the screw threads will be crushed or damaged.
● How to remove outside rings When heat–resistant/dismounting tap extraction jig DTNK ( D P.515 ) is aligned with the screw groove of the outside ring and rotated, the outside ring will rise as the screw part rotates. E Removing the outside ring using cap bolts may scratch the bottom surface of the mounting hole. If you are concerned about scratches, make a counterbore of 0.5mm depth and diameter of the extraction jig screw + 1mm at the bottom surface of the mounting hole.

Remove the inside arrow and insert the extraction jig.
Rotate the screw of the extraction jig by aligning it with the screw groove on the bottom cover of the date marked pin.
The date marked pin will rise as the screw is rotated.
Once the date marked pin comes out completely from the mold, removal is completed.
● How to use the inside arrow To attach the inside arrow
Use a screw driver for date marked pins DTPPN ( D P.534 ) or a minus screw driver to turn the inside arrow clockwise until it is in the same position as the letters on the outside ring. If the inside arrow is turned clockwise, it will turn non–stop. Change the month indication by turning it counterclockwise with a screw driver for date marked pins DTPPN ( D P.534 ) or a minus screw driver. Remove the inside arrow by rotating it counterclockwise.

E Two moved steel balls and six grooves are used because D4/D5 are divided equally among twelve.
● Notes E Characters on the finished products will be embossed normal character (Convex). (Embossed character) X Cannot be used for die cast. For die cast, use Date Marked Pins for Die Cast ( D P.539 ). E If the date marked pins are clogged with tar, the inside arrow will not turn, so make sure to perform maintenance work periodically.

Please note the following when attaching the inside arrow. ① Remove the antirust agent stuck on the products after delivery. ② Clean up any grime and foreign substances by using air to blow them off the screw part of outside ring. ③ Use a special screw driver or minus screw driver to carefully fasten the inside arrow so that the threads are matched. E If a thread seizure is likely to occur during the installation of inside arrow, temporarily remove the inside arrow without fastening, then install it again. If the thread seizure occurs, the inside arrow and outside ring cannot be combined. ④ To make it easier to detach the inside arrow during maintenance, drill a hole at the bottom surface of the mounting hole that is one size smaller than the removal tap, so that the structure can be removed by tapping it with a thin stick. ⑤ When fixing the date marked pins with a screw from the bottom of the mold, be sure to fix it shorter than the K dimension of the date marked pins of different sizes.

● Notes when mounting outside rings When press–fitting the date mark into the mold, be sure to remove the inside arrow and set the inside arrow after the outside ring is press–fitted. e If the inside arrow sticks out of the outside ring, it can damage the date mark set, such as crushing the threads of the inside arrow. Make a reamer hole (H7 tolerance) on the plate, and drive into it lightly using a wood or urethane hammer. If the pilot hole is too small, the inside arrow may not rotate. ● How to mount outside ring
