■ Overview ● Features • The assembly of outside ring and the date mark adjustable pin and mounting to the mold can be done in the same way as a head–fixing pin. Overall length of the date marked pins L can be set by adjusting the length of date mark adjusting pin. • Maintenance becomes easy, because the inside arrow can be replaced from PL side without removing the plate. • Facilitates quality control and lot management of molded products. • The month indication can be changed from the PL side. (Turn the arrow using a screw driver.) • Uses a steel ball stopper mechanism for positioning (arrow position), which has a superior positioning accuracy than an O–ring and superior durability against gas and high temperatures generated during molding. • Inside arrow is same as PL exchange type.

Make a reamer hole (H7 tolerance) on the plate, and drive into it lightly using a wood or urethane hammer. If the pilot hole is too small, the inside arrow may not rotate.

When press–fitting the date mark into the mold, be sure to remove the inside arrow and set the inside arrow after the outside ring is press–fitted. e If the inside arrow sticks out of the outside ring, it can damage the date mark set, such as crushing the threads of the inside arrow.

Use a screw driver for date marked pins DTPPN ( D P.534 ) or a minus screw driver to turn the inside arrow clockwise until the adjusting nut stops. Then reverse about a half rotation from the position it stopped, before use. Change the month indication by turning it counterclockwise with a screw driver for date marked pins DTPPN ( D P.534 ) or a minus screw driver. Remove the inside arrow by rotating it counterclockwise.

■ How to assemble date marked sets
Please assemble adjusting pins to date marked sets by suppressing spanner groove of joint screw of outside rings. E Tighten with the torque of 2.0N ・ m (20kgf ・ cm)–2.5N ・ m (25kgf ・ cm) as a reference. E Please use loctite, etc. to prevent the screw from loosening.

E Spanner groove W 2 cannot be used to position date marked pins. Note that the position of characters on the outside ring and the spanner groove W 2 will not be fixed for tightening the screws.

E Characters on the finished products will be embossed normal character (Convex). (Embossed character) E If the mold temperature exceeds 150 ℃ , use a heat–resistant type with a removal tap. X Cannot be used for die cast. For die cast, use Date Marked Pins for Die Cast ( D P.539 ). E If the date marked pins are clogged with tar, the inside arrow will not turn, so make sure to perform maintenance work periodically. X Date mark pin set cannot be attached to ejector pin tip. Please note that sliding of date marked set like ejector pin will cause damage of joint screw.
