● How to unmount date marked pin To remove the mold date marked pin set, make sure to prepare a hole ( ＊ a) from the plate's back beforehand. Use a round stick, etc. to drive it out from that hole as shown in the right figure.
Make a reamer hole (H7 tolerance) on the plate, and drive into it lightly using a wood or urethane hammer. If the pilot hole is too small, the inside arrow may not rotate. ● How to mount outside ring When press–fitting the date mark into the mold, be sure to remove the inside arrow and set the inside arrow after the outside ring is press–fitted. e If the inside arrow sticks out of the outside ring, it can damage the date mark set, such as crushing the threads of the inside arrow. ● Notes when mounting outside rings

● Features A date mark set –double ring type– consists of an “inside arrow and a double ring structure”. A year/month switching type consists of a year indication for 6 years and a month indication. The year/month switching type can be used for six years, thus eliminating the trouble of replacing the conventional inside arrow, and also helping to reduce costs. A date switching type can indicate both the “2nd digit and the 1st digit”.

When turned clockwise, only the inside arrow (arrow part) rotates, enables the year to be changed. In the case of a date switching type, turning it clockwise causes the 2nd digit to be changed.
Turning it counterclockwise causes both the inside arrow (ar- row part) and the second ring to turn simultaneously, enabling the month to be changed. In the case of a date switching type, turning it counterclock- wise enables the 1st digit to be changed.

● Notes E Characters on the finished products will be embossed normal character (Convex). (Embossed character) E If the mold temperature exceeds 150 ℃ , use a heat–resistant type with a removal tap. X Cannot be used for die cast. For die cast, use Date Marked Pins for Die Cast ( D P.539 ). E If the date marked pins are clogged with tar, the inside arrow will not turn, so make sure to perform maintenance work periodically.
