1. Set the desired dimension X while the product is assembled in the mold. X dimension refers to the inner end face of the nut from the surface where the stopper and the main body comes in contact.

• This is a small undercut part. Undercut processing is possible with this product alone. • Space saving: Compared to conventional undercut processing, this product saves space because it does not require an inclined pin. • Reduced processing time: The use of a circular shaft enables installation with only two straight holes in the core and ejector plate. • Long life: The stopper prevents the body from retracting due to resin pressure, prolonging the life of the spring. Approximate durability is 1 million shots. • The use of the CXCU, a dedicated length–cutting jig, reproduces the state of being in the mold and enables reliable dimensioning.

2. Place the main unit on the CXCU jig used for sprung cores. Make sure that the stopper part of the jig is in contact with the main body.

3. After locking the jig, cut the X dimension. By cutting with a jig, the main body operates without being pulled.

■ Notes on handling

• Sticking is a concern with this product depending on the shape of the molded product. In the case of a rib (stand–alone) shape, the mold release resistance will increase due to resin shrinkage, and the molded product may be taken up by the core (see the figure below).

Rib alone

4. Undercut processing is applied. E There are processing restrictions (see the figure on the right). Please take note of this.

5. Attach the main unit to the mold. E Be careful not to twist the shaft.

• Welding, quenching, nitriding, etc. are not recommended because exposure to temperatures above the heat resistance temperature will affect the durability of the spring part and the shape of the product. • No galling prevention measures are applied to the parts themselves. When using the product, please take the clearance into consideration to prevent galling. In addition to proper clearance, it is also effective to use a separate block for the part where galling occurs. • When locating the undercut part, measure it with reference to the center of the claw part.

E Cut the tip of the core by 0.1mm. If it is not cut, the molded product may turn over or scratched when the core is ejected (please check the molded product dimensions in advance).

E The stopper can also be ground to fine–tune the position of the body.
