This material features a gate internal surface that has a fine- textured mirror finish. A narrow gate suitable for high cycles, with a small taper angle can be realized because it reduces the risk of mold release failure. However, the wear resistance is inferior com- pared to SKH51. Please use SKH51 or carbide products for glass fiber filled resin or high hardness resin.
This steel is generally used as the material for pin-point gate bushings. The heat-treated steel gives it excellent hardness and wear resistance. It is an easy-to- use product with high toughness and can be readily finished to a high degree of precision. Because it is hardened steel, Electrical Discharge Machining is required for any alterations.
This is extremely hard and wear- resistant. It is possible to reduce the occurrence of deformation or enlargement due to wear of gate holes during mass-production molding and the defects caused by such deformation or enlarge- ment. In the case of a long-life die, this material is particularly effective for improving the sta- bility of gate cutting. Glass fiber reinforced resin Super Engineering Plastics
