※ The length of the spiral groove ( ℓ ) will be one half of the overall length ( L 2 ), regardless of the N dimension. E Recommended mold temperature for the usage of a precision leader pin and bushing is 80°C or less because of little clearance between them. ( D P.788 ) E A center hole may be left on one or both ends. E Oil groove part might not be colored by heat treatment. Despite differences in appearance, it can be used without any problem. E When no press–fit part is required, specify Nmin. E The N dimension also includes the head thickness and the undercut below the head, so in case of N = T + (2 or 3), there will be no press–fit part. • When the overall length (L dimension) and the diameter of the press–fit part are freely specifed, please order using GPHL/GPH–XL ( D P.793 ).

■ Feature of spiral groove •The ring oil groove that has been widely used up until now retains the lubricating oil, and applies a suitable amount of oil when the guide pin and the guide bushing touch each other, thus helping to prevent seizure. In contrast, a spiral groove retains lubricating oil, and when the guide pin and the guide bushing come into contact with each other, the lubricating oil moves around the entire periphery of the pin along the spiral groove, resulting in greater seizure prevention effectiveness.
