Screw plugs are commonly used as a stopper to hold straight leader bushings in place. The bushing is provided with a groove on its outer circumference where the screw plug is locked in. Since the screw plug does not directly hold the bushing's thin wall, deflection of its internal diameter can be minimized. When L = 10, screw plug is the value in ( ).

If the use of a screw plug is not desired because of possible alignment problems, a hexagonal socket head screw can be used to hold down the bushings as shown in the figure on left. Make a counterbore on the pin side to accept the screw head.
